How do you calculate the “guaranteed $15k cash or $30k TC”?

You only pay us if your final offer is at least either a) $15k more cash than your initial offer, or b) $30k more TC than your initial offer. If it’s neither of those, then you pay nothing. (Equity only counts as TC for public companies.)

How do you calculate the “10% of the difference”?

The difference between the total compensation (TC) of your initial offer and the TC of your final offer. If the delta is less than $15k cash (and $30k TC), you pay nothing. If it’s more than $15k cash (or $30k TC), then you pay 10% of the delta. Equity only counts as TC for public companies.

When is the best time to sign up?

Ideally, sign up when an offer is on the way or when your first offer(s) are in hand. Since recruiters are better to handle proactively than reactively, the important point is: it’s better to sign up too early than too late.

How long does the process take?

If you join around the offer stage, it takes an average of 2-4 weeks.

What is the process like?

You and your coach will communicate mainly over text. When necessary, you'll do calls together. Your coach will write and edit emails and texts before you send them to recruiters. They will share tactics, do role plays, and give you helpful perspective.

You’ll ask questions as they come up. You’ll work together to investigate any tricky scenarios. And you'll learn a ton about negotiation.
