Getting Started

What’s included in the free trial?

Your trial includes 100 job applications, sent within 24 hours, plus a resume score with improvement tips. After the trial, your account switches to the free plan (1 application per day). You can upgrade at any time.

What’s the difference between Free and Pro plans?

Free = 1 job per day. Pro = up to 400 per week, strict matching, and priority support. See [Plans & Pricing](#) for full details.

How do I start applying?

Finish your profile (resume, job titles, and preferences), then click **Start Applying** on your dashboard. If the button is greyed out, check for red error dots in the navigation — these mean required profile fields are incomplete.

What is Auto-Apply?

Auto-Apply sends out job applications on your behalf, based on your profile and preferences. In the trial, you’ll get 100 applications within 24 hours. On free, you get 1 per day. Upgrade to unlock higher volume.

Why is my Start Applying button disabled?

This usually means your resume profile isn’t complete. Check the Resume tab for missing job titles, start/end dates, or skills. Red error dots in the navigation highlight what’s missing.

How do I use strict matching?

Go to *Edit Profile → Matching Criteria* and enable strict matching. This ensures only jobs that match your titles, skills, and location show up — though it may reduce total matches.

Resume & Profile Setup

Why can’t I see a new score after uploading a resume?

This was a bug for users who had a finalized resume or paid status. It has been fixed—upload again or re-run the score. If the score still doesn’t refresh, contact support so we can reprocess it.

The resume scorer looks wrong—what should I do?

Known issues include length warnings, font/section detection, and links. Open the Resume tab, correct any misread fields, and rescore. If it persists, contact support with your file so we can improve the model.

How does the Resume Scorer work?

Our AI reads your resume and scores structure, clarity, and match strength. If sections are missing or misread (e.g., education, hyperlinks, or length), update your resume in the app and re-run. Two-page resumes are acceptable for 10+ years experience.

Why do I need to check my resume fields manually?

Resume parsing can miss job titles, dates, or languages. Each experience needs accurate start/end dates, job title, seniority, and key skills to generate quality matches. Your edits override parser results.

Matching

Why are you still applying to companies that rejected me?

We can’t reliably detect prior interview outcomes. Rejections don’t always block future roles. If you want to avoid a company, add it to your Blacklist (Profile → Blacklisted) and we’ll steer clear.

Why am I seeing the same role multiple times?

Large companies often post duplicates across teams, locations, or by mistake. Each listing has a unique ATS ID. It’s a small share of jobs (<1%). We continue to prioritize unique, high-quality matches.

Why am I getting roles outside my location or remote preference?

Many companies mislabel location/remote options. For trial accuracy, enable strict matching in Matching Criteria. You can still apply broadly and negotiate location later if the company is interested.

Why are my matches irrelevant?

Check selected titles and enable strict matching for relevance. Rate 10 jobs to train the model. Some postings are poorly labeled by companies; downvote/report irrelevant ones so we can refine your queue.

I’m junior but I get mostly mid/senior roles—why?

When seniority is missing, systems default to mid-level. Entry-level roles are also rarer in the market. Update your seniority and preferred titles to shift matches toward junior roles.

Applications

Why does one application show multiple resumes?

Some ATS (e.g., SmartRecruiters) display prior files linked to the company. We submit only your latest resume for a given job; seeing multiple files doesn’t mean multiple resumes were sent for that single application.

I paused my account—why am I still getting emails?

You may receive late-stage messages (rejections/interview invites) from earlier submissions. We do not submit new applications while paused; check submission dates or forward messages and we’ll verify.

Why am I not receiving any job applications?

Confirm Interview Generator is on. If recently enabled, emails may take a few minutes to start. Verify you’re checking the resume email configured in your profile. If still nothing, contact support to investigate.

How do I see the jobs applied for me?

Check the Jobs Applied tab in your dashboard. For ATS portals that require a login, use the alias email we applied with and the shared password (see ATS Password Manager).

How do you answer open-ended questions on job applications?

We generate tailored answers from your resume, profile, and the job description using our custom model. We also correctly handle prompts like 'what’s today’s date' that are used to detect automation.

How do I see how application questions were answered?

Log in to the ATS (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse, Glassdoor) using the alias email listed on your confirmation message and the shared password from ATS Password Manager to view submitted responses.

Job Portals & Logins

I’m receiving security codes—do these apps count toward my quota?

No. Applications that stop for a security code do not count as successful and don’t deduct from your quota. We usually retry and submit successfully later; you can confirm in your Jobs Applied list.

How do I log into an ATS and reply to recruiters?

Use the alias email shown on your confirmation message and retrieve the shared password from ATS Password Manager in Account Settings. Save the password and avoid changing it so we can continue applying for you.

Why do you use email aliases (name+tag@) on ATS sites?

Some ATS require separate accounts to submit. We create unique aliases so we can apply without manual verification. To view an application, log in with the exact alias used for that job and the shared password. Please don’t change the password.

Account Settings

How do I change the email where I receive applications?

Dashboard → Edit Profile → Resume tab → update 'Email used for job applications' and save. Changes take effect within an hour or the next time you enable Interview Generator.
